There will be plenty of awesome closing acts, who cares if Cure is on?
It's stupid as hell to put them in a supposed "electronic music event", but they have to pay the bills.
It will bring some emos around unfortunately.
If they bring any more trance this year I'll be suprized. They had almost none last year. I think a trance stage would be successful... it sure was @ BANG. |

Firstly the U2 issue was only brought up to make the simple point that the Cure is by no means the best band to come out of the 80s, contrary to what someone else posted on here.
Secondly what you state is your opinion. Saying that U2 peaked with Sunday Bloody Sunday (a track not an album BTW) is like saying that Cuba is a free country and Bin laden is not a terrorist. Ever heard of the Joshua Tree or Actung Baby albums, commonly known to be their best??? |
I know it's my opinion, hence the "My .02" which signifies any comment I make as being one of personal taste.
Anyway, we're in definite agreement on the cure - I don't even know if they make the top 10 of my favorite 80s bands. |

| I like The Cure.. whats the deal. Strangely off but still following the line of bands that Ultra has always brought. Gorilaz, the streets, The killers, Crystal Method, Prodigy and now The Cure. The Cure have been one of the influential sounds for today's electronic music artists so I can understand where they are going. There's a HUGE 80's chunk crowd who are now in their late 20's and early thirty's, WHOO by the way are still within the clubbing age.. so it would blend together and bring them out to Ultra so thats what I think. |

| I for one will reserve all opinion on what Ultra is doing until I see the entire lineup. |

| OH GOD NO! Lets hope all these acts go on the other stage like i mentioned before and not on the electronic stage. It would be hell to stand during an entire set by the Cure or DM or other bands when i want electronic music. Set them on the stage the killers played last year. So if you want to sell out the venue and get those people i understand,. but put them in thier place. Have them on the other stage. |

With all due respect to the Cure, they had some good songs and all back then, but they never have been a great live act. | WRONGGGGGGGG
Saw them when I was 13 with my Dad and Brother in the Old Miami Arena.
He rocked the panthers jersey too.
It was still one of th best memories ever.
Maybe you can say that about them now. But in the late 90's they rocked it. |

I am super excited for The Cure to be there. I have seen them live 5 times over the past 7 years and have been impressed every time. I do think it should be on the side stage but it will be a fantastic show regardless.
and U2 sucks now. |
