| Ok I heard all this hype about this Mel Gibson movie. Went to go watch it /w my homie. we left after the first 35-40min after the main char village got raided. we were stoned and we didn't enjoy the Indian jibber jabber. Who has watched it? summary of the end plz. What is Mel Gibson trying to say? |

| I want to see the movie. It's graphic but if you can handle The Passion of the Christ, i'm sure you can handle this one. Not a movie you'd see right after you eat a big meal...but the Mayan Civilization is fascinating. I just saw something on the Travel Channel dealing with the Maya. They have one of the most accurate calendars in the world, and it ends on December 21st, 2012. Some say it's the end of the world, but I believe (and others) that there will be some event, like a polar shift or a solar alignment. They were quite advanced in astronomy. |

It's when the center of our galaxy lines up with the center of another galaxy, theres theories that the Maya believed that this is how evil spirits will enter our world. It's amazing that there were able to predict that hundreds of years ago.
The Maya also believed that the world is cyclical, being born and dying only to be reborn. 2012 is when the current period of the world will "end." It doesn't seem likely but you would be lying if you aren't just a bit nervous when that day comes. |
