| The laser was so low, that if you raised your hand to take a picture, the laser would hit your camera! The laser is so powerful, that it damages the lense. That's why you're not supposed to point or look at the laser straight into your eyes. |

#1 DJ according to DJMag? Absolutely Not. That's a fan poll. Whoever has the best PR wins. Popularity does not equal best.
As far as my issues with Tiesto these days? Other than most of his track selection, I have two words for you. Phrase match.
Tiesto is still my fav DJ of all time, though. :p |

i actually thought tiesto was going down a bit, and i started to be less of a fan of his.
but this whole venue shows that he's still on top!

oh, and Tiesto sucks my nuts. ty music, ty mixing, typical crowd is one that's anything other than conducive to enjoying yourself and dancing. Not gonna go into an extensive Tiesto-bash here, but I can't understand why people like him.
And DJ Mag or any other rankings you can think of mean precisely jack . Except to let me know how many people out there have TERRIBLE taste in music.
ps: having read the thread, Clovis nailed the track before me. And I interpreted his statement to mean, "Tiesto sucks at finding music that isn't 8 months old or more, and hasn't ALREADY been over-played by everyone else." Not that the song sucks. |

Who really cares whether the track is old or over played??? There are many GREAT tracks out there that are old and have been over played. I know that when people hear those certain tracks, those tracks still get some sort of reaction *sigh* from many, even if it's just a smile.

Tiesto is probably the only DJ that can perform anywhere in the world and pack a venue!
As a promoter, I am tired of hearing its the promoters job to promote and the DJ's job to play music.
I'm always willing to book the DJ's that charge a couple hundred more but do email blasts, myspace messages and text messages to their lists.
Back to this Tiesto bashing nonsence. I've never been much of a PVD fan, but you don't see me going around posting messages talking about how he doesn't have good taste in music. I just don't go to his nights @ Vanguard and when he went on @ Monster Massive. I just went outside and shook my booty to some house music. |
