I GUESS some of you people don't know about those "washing machines" but those washing machines are the ones that drop 1-2 bills easy just so they won't stand inline on top of buying a General Admission Ticket and buy water/booze by the dozen full.
If you think clubs/promoters make money off people who get in for comp/discount and predrink in the car to only spend 30-40 bux at the bar... (but b/c they bring a better vibe) makes it a preferable crowd???.... u gotta be kidding me.
As bad as those washing machines may look.. they are the ones that help some of these clubs make $$ and last time I checked.. a club is a business.. not a friendly free for all. And these people don't just go when a GOOD DJ is town.. they go every single freaking week. They don't give a fawk who's spinning.
So I'm glad those people come in and drop the $$ they do.. so I won't have to.
So just don't stand near the washing machines then... and focus on the music...... that IS what you are there for isn't it? :rolleyes: |

Spundae has awesome Carne Asada Quesadillas.
...about the washing machines: Yes, they are at both Spundae and Avalon. The difference seems to be that at Spundae it's as if they have their place. They are not in everyone's way. At Avalon they are EVERYWHERE and give you dirty looks if you are in THEIR way.
But yes, Karen, it is a buisiness.
Still, I believe it would be a bad move for Spundae to go to Avalon. |

| who knows, if this is true spundae is in a position to turn avalon into a world-class club by fixing or forcing to be fixed all of that club's MANY problems such as its world-famous line-that-never-moves or the awful security situation they have inside. also spundae can start booking more house and progressive headliners like they do up north instead of being typecast into the trance-only club they've been labelled as at circus. whatever the case, spundae could be the best thing to happen to avalon if all the cards fall in line. but if it's just gonna be 'business as usual' at avalon, spundae is getting screwed. |

| amen to that lex. this is what i have actually been saying since i started hearing this rumor. its a double edged sword. if they do it right, fix the problems, then it will be an awesome move. if they dont though it will be the worst decision ever. |

It's funny to see all of you trance heads so worried about Spundae moving, even if it is just a rumor. All of you guys say that the vibe at Avalon blows compared to Spundae; I look at it from a different persepective though. I love not only Avalon, Vanguard and Spundae for what they are, I love them for the diverse DJ talent that each brings.
I go to Avalon knowing that there will be HARDLY any trance acts there. I go to Avalon to catch the best DJ's in the world of house, electro and progressive. I also know that the house music will sound so ing good!
I go to Spundae knowing that if I'm there, it's for the world class trance DJ's. This is where Spundae excels in addition to being a very well run club (except on HUGE nights). Spundae is spacey, has a great patio and an awesome instant-ter-carne asada-booth! :D
I go to Vanguard for the variety. Vanguard has been bringing so many different DJ's that cover an ever wider variety of EDM. I love the way that Vanguard is set up and it boasts an outdoor patio that equals Spundae's. Vanguard has also been an awesome starting point to the big night's. Me and my mates will cruise to Guard to catch the talent until around midnight then we carry our drunk asses over to Avalon for the rest of the night and I must say, it's always a fun adventure!
Point is, there are many attributes to each club that in my honest opinion give off the right vibe. I think most of you are being way to picky about what club belongs where and what should be prosperous in each club. It's mostly you pure trance heads that have the high expectations. Broaden your electronic horizon and you might enjoy a club or two! :haha: |

haha i dont like to have the washing machines knocking into me all the time. i like avalon as a club but many things that have been mentioned make it less enjoyable than vanguard or circus. many people agree with me in that too. |
