HOLY CRAP! I regret getting those Technics headphones. THEY SUCK! They sound like . They sound so hollow, so muddy, I think my cell phone sounds better. They're HUGE too, which didn't feel too good on me. They're so bad, that I borrowed the other DJs Pioneer headphones last night. :( Surprisingly, I actually liked the Pioneers. Hehehe

On the other hand, the NEW Ortofon Needles are SICK!!!! They're much much better than the Shure's. I think I'll be getting a pair soon.
Jeffree
Needles? Is that like slang for the laser that reads the CD? :D
DjWoody
Ha! I wish! I used these needles last time for the first time, and I LOVED THEM! They're made specially for programs like Serato & Final Scratch!

Jeffree
Hmmm those look perdy sweet. Can't really go wrong with Ortofon. :)

Hehehe, my bad! It's just that I needed something for this weekend. Last night I used the 7506 @ Spundae and the Pioneers @ Queen Mary, and honestly, it's a close tie, but I like the isolation on the Pioneers. It's easier to hear. I already owned a pair of 7506 for many years, and those babies are workhorses. I really wanna try the Senheisser's.

I have the Senns if you wanna test drive them Jesse. They are AMAZING!!! You will throw all other headphones in the garbage after you try the Senns. The only thing that you may not like is that they aren't very heavy on the bass like the Sonys, Technics, Pioneer etc. Don't get me wrong, they have plenty of punch, but they don't force out sloppy amplified bass. They are meant to be accurate studio quality monitors. Let me know when you want to get together and try them, you're only like 20 minutes away.

i dont know how the pioneer could be better than the rpdh1200. sound quality on the rpdh is much better than the hdj. hdj is so fragile its ridiculous. i broke mine in 3 months while my technics have taken sooo much beating and they still are fine.

try wearing the pioneer for an hour and the rpdh and you tell me which one is more comfortable. but ur right, the technics weigh much more. but why is weight such a concern to u guys? how long do u wear the headphone for? maybe for a minute or two max, so i dont see whats bothering you so much.

After my 700s finally gave in last week I picked up the HDJ1000s and I've been loving them. :)

You can buy the Sennheiser HD 25's for $165 from Wolf/Ritz Camera's website, but they are currently out of stock.

But if Guitar Center has them, you should be able to get them to price match.
