| lol i have no sentimental attachment to them to the point where it tugs at my heartstrings to see pictures of forest fires.. im talking about the principle of it.. getting offended at random takes way more effort.. and getting offended at a CHRISTMAS tree over PC bull is just retarded. |

| If your offended by it for religious reasons it makes no sense, i mean im sure in non christian countries the christians dont complain about other religious stmbols being up. Only in extremely liberal, socialist canada |

Personally, I'm not offended, but I think as the government of a multicultural country where only a fraction of people are actually christian and see Christmas as a christian holiday instead of just a warm and fuzzy time of year with a couple of days off work, they need to remain impartial.
Canada has a large jewish population, why don't we see the star of david in airports?
Private business can do what they wish - they are only alienating potential customers of a non-christian faith - but the government has a higher responsibility to be impartial on religious issues. |

| I have nothing wrong with other symbols going up. But just because we are multicultural doesnt mean we should have to take anything down. According to the 2001 census 77% of canadians are christian, 16% declare no faith, 2% muslim, 1% jewish, hindu, sikh, and buddist. Thats actually a lot higher than i thought of christian. I guess im just not taking rural or small town canada into accoutn |
