Off topic slightly but has anyone been to Coachella? How is their stage setup with lighting and sound? Does it compare close to Ultra at all or rather tops Ultra off big time?
I think Ultra's stages are weak in comparison to europes events like dancevalley. |

Im saying the setup is pretty weak in general as far as stages. Sound isnt bad at all but the stage is weak - basic metal box stage with one laser under the ultra dj booth and the rest are concert lighting. Hope they bust out some more lasers and have projection screens behind the artists like at bayfront. There was one small one last year on stage. However the lighting trim around the stage was cool.
They say they upped the stage level - curious to see what its like.
But how is it at coachella in comparison? |

ultra doesn't like armin too much for some reason, maybe next year :conf:
its kinda stupid though considering he's the #2 DJ in the world and thousands of people would go to see him |

From the pictures of Coachella... last years Ultra had the same type of stage set up.. so I wouldnt doubt that its the same. |

I do find it a bit odd as well. Since 2003 Ultra has continuously invited Paul van Dyk, Paul Oakenfold, and Tiesto. How and why is Armin always missing? He should at least replace Oakie... |

armin and tiesto were NOT at ultra in 2006 |
