My car is a total loss.. what should I get?

I was involved in a car accident a few weeks ago and now the vehicle is a total loss. Most likely we'll be getting 14K for it.
This new car purchased will most likely go to my 65 year old father. Corolla? Yaris? Civic? I'm not sure what to get him.. anyone have any suggestions?? |

| you should test drive all of them and get what you want. that's usually how it works ;) |

haha i dont fully agree with that as there are lots of ty cars out there. but then again they do have to live with their mistake...er decision..not me. |

I usually read up on several cars and make my decision that way.

well that'd be the case if she was considering a geo metro or ford fiesta, but which one of these do you consider a ty commuter: Corolla? Yaris? Civic? it boils down to personal preference when you're talking about toyota commuters vs honda commuters |

i wasnt referring to any car in general. just referring to the general populace and buying cars just cause they think its good. ie saturn. |
