I DO NOT LIKE FEELING LIKE A HUMAN QTIP WEDGED BETWEEN 2 MEN. I think everyone will agree with me on that.

I did think it was pretty funny when I yelled "if you tired of standing in this frickin line scream" and everyone screamed...

I think its good that there are some locals at the event though..

:D

lol, completely different than the LoveFest stuff. When I went to Popsicle last year, there was a nice organized line (for gen admission) and we showed up right near when doors opened. The lineup was wrapped all the way to the back of Bill Graham and it moved nice and smoothly and we got in within about 10 minutes.

The LoveFest afterparty line and organization was a complete catastrophe in pretty much every way possible. :)

So, my question is. Why all the pandemonium at Love Fest? That door guys looked like they were related to Barney Fife.

I guess your right tho Dave, every pop I have attended has been awesome.

I derno, WMC or POP? Geez.

i think the biggest problem at every one of these events is TRAINING for the event staff. of all the times i've been to bill graham, every single time i have to interface with event staff, they're like deer in the headlights about their job.

BUT
can we PLEASE get a fresh line up here??!!!! I mean this is almost the same as love parades line up..WTF!!!
with WMC so close to this event can't we get some fresh talent??
Do we ALWAYS have to see DJDAN,FARNIA,CL,DIESELBOY and KASCADE every party???

I understand LA is a bigger market but why can Giant and Insomniac book...Paul Van Dyk,Sasha,Howells,Deep Dish,Marco V,Lawler,Andy C etc.... BUT yet SF gets a very similar line up ever year? Skills your great BUT PLEASE BRING OUT SOME FRESH TALENT...

I agree with Mr Stroke, Skills has the same boring lineup every damn event, with the same people. They could have an awsome lineup at an affortable price if they chose the right DJs.

The line to get in sucked last year. I had will call ticket and the line went all the way around the building. It would've been easier to buy the tickets at the door and get in faster that way. I got there around 11pm and waited in line for about an hour so I missed Perry O'Neil's set but did get to see Signum, Rank 1 and Blank & Jones so I was happy.

Maybe I'm just too ignorant of how these things work, but concerning real big-name talent:

couldn't you just have 1 main performer in an area, like say Sander Kleinenberg or Armin or someone, and afford to pay them, instead of paying smaller amounts to each of 10 DJ's?

Personally I've heard a lot of good things about past Popsicles, I might be out of town in Seattle but if I'm in SF I'll be checking it out. And in my experience the right combination of herbs and chemicals does a great job about making large crowds not seem so bad. And I Guarantee that absolutely nothing is worse, crowd-wise, than the main dance floor at Fabric, London. It's like some horror rugby scrum.
