I'll probably go just to check out what these parties are like if nothing else. I've never been to a massive like this, Skills or otherwise.
The lineup is a tad disappointing to me. The only act that I'd be particularly excited about is Infected Mushroom, the rest isn't anything particularly offensive (i.e. if Tiesto or someone of the like were going to be there, I'd stay away just because I hate the typical crowd), but nothing amazingly special either. Wish they could have gotten Bassnectar, in a party so heavy with local talent. Wish there were more progressive house or maybe even some techno on the list.
So overall I'm a bit on the fence about whether this is worth the $40 and the trip into the city. |

Nope its the final lineup, but they do have new productions plans for this night and I know they've put a lot more into the setup than previous events |

The LoveFest afterparty line and organization was a complete catastrophe in pretty much every way possible. :) |
And somehow, you managed to weed through that fest of a line faster than any of us there. Sneaky mother f.ucker. :p
And yeah, I know I'm from up north but most of that line-up reminds me of the last two Love Parade/Fest Afterparties. That's something that needs a bit of work. |

Let's not put this event down. Spundae and Skills have thrown great events in the past once you get inside. I think if everyone looks pass the whole line situation, it's something that's truly spectacular. The venue is breath taking I think.
However, I do feel sorry for those who get VIP. It's totally not worth it. Once I got there for the last Popsicle, the ticket people insisted that I didn't have a VIP ticket when in fact it said I paid $80 for it. I had a long battle with them until I asked them to get who was incharge. There was no food or water backstage like promised and none of the djs never came to meet and greet after their sets. I hope the crew will work on this for their next show.
I am excited to see Christopher Lawerence once again. ;) It should be a great time as a regular ticket holder. |

Lines usually suck but what disappointed me most about LF2006 was there was no BAG CHECK. It's not like they can't setup a place in the whole auditorium for people to lay down their backpacks. And the only place nearby with lockers available was the YMCA a few blocks out, and you have to be a member to use their lockers. The whole event is just a big trap to get you to buy overpriced water bottles.
And whoever would pay 8 dollars for a cup of beer, is just stupid. |

I won't slag this event, but I won't attend it either.
Too expensive for an event with a somewhat lackluster lineup, and the potential for all the normal aggravations of massives. All in all, I'm sure it'll be fun but not enough fun to make me go. |
