Festivus is back for its 6th stellar year of bringing together some of the of hottest and most legendary House DJ's around for free open air event like no other in NYC.
Please join us from 3pm-8pm on the Great Hill in Central Park for Festivus 6.0.

This is a a pet and family friendly event. This is a LEAVE NO TRACE EVENT, so if you bring it into the park, bring it out of the park. Respect the Enviornment.
Keep in mind that NYC law does not allow for open alcoholic beverages in public spaces, so plan accordingly. Bring your blanket, your food, and your dancing shoes, and leave your drama at home.

Center on Tuesday, July 15
This event marks the first ever U.S. live performance from the
Fennesz /Sakamoto collaboration
For its US premiere, Christian Fennesz and Ryuichi Sakamoto will
perform from their 2007 album, Cendre. This live collaboration creates
a new synergy between acoustic piano and electronic & electric guitar
music. Fennesz'sensitive, ambient soundscapes balance and manipulate
Sakamoto's elegant piano phrasing, creating vivid dialogues between
melody and texture.

One of my really good friends, Michael Hime is leaving NY for Belgium for good, and he's playing his last NY sets. Some of you might know him and Corey Baker (Unknown People) from the debauchery that used to take place afterhours @ Happy Valley and Cotton (G Lounge) on the weekends a couple of years ago.
So the festivities are this week, starting tomorrow @ Porch (Ave C between 7th and 8th) with the usual guys (Los, Shadi, Craft and Gio), and part 2 is @ Sin Sin (5th St @ 2nd Ave) with Fame, Bons and K1W1.
Those of you who know Michael should definitely swing by either, and if you don't, you should swing by anyway :D |
