<=== scared. :nervous: |
the DAY I was leaving for a vacation in Ibiza, I was transferring my 30GB of songs onto iPod, my hardrive seized. Hardware problem, couldn't recover anything.
What a downer that was!!! Even if it wasn't the iPod's fault, I still blame it on that...stupid techMology |

Greg, I know you CAN take songs from other people's computers cuz I've done it in the past. You've just gotta take off the "sync" option.
Is the winamp plugin really that much better than itunes? |
I just hate Itunes and the amount of RAm it takes up.
Some people are in love with it. For me, If my whole ipod erased it would be a non issue (in fact probably a good thing, get some fresh tunes on it) because I have most if not all of my stuff backed up in at least 2 places (not including the ipod)
I think we have learned a valuable lesson thing.
As for using other peoples comps etc, sounds sketch, I'd just use it in HD mode, drag and drop, then put the tunes on through my cpu later. |

Wait wait wait. Before you fill up your iPod with files again, you should attempt to recover the hard drive first. Use any file recovery tool and see if you can get anything from your iPod. After all, it is a basic hard drive formatted with the FAT32 filesystem. I have recovered many hard drives after several formats with various tools. Formatting doesn't mean your files are gone.
PM for an utility... |

bah! someone JACKED my iPod! i have very strong suspicions on who this person is. for the cost of an ipod, you learn the true values of people you know. no need to cry, at least you still have an ipod! |

| could it be that you sync it with an empty play list ?? or a play list with non of the tracks selected?? |

I don't even want my 60GB iPod anymore, I want the iPhoneeeeeeeeeeee!!!
But seriously, I'd love a 8GB Nano...Would be sweet and probably about the same price as the iPhone (correct me if I'm wrong). |

Did you plug the player to your computer and then reboot Windows while it was still connected? I'm thinking the file system was repaired by scandisk. |
