...and there was nothing there anymore.

This happened about a week ago.

I have a 60GB colour/photo (not video) iPod. I have had it since Nov '05 when I bought it from eBay @ 400$ (it was 2 weeks old, guarantee or warantee, whatever it is, was included but it was only for a year :()

So ya.

I lost 37GB of my life (my music) and I cried soooo much for like an hour!!! Fortunately I have SOME of it backed up (maybe half of what I had :()I called some people who are good at these situations and they all told me it's gone for good...

Help :(

Pleeeeeeeease!

By importing music into iTunes and then plugging the cable in and dragging and dropping it.

Same thing happened to me about a month ago. I had like 90% of the music on my comp still so I was ok with that. But lost about 20 full movies and music videos which was seriously gay.

They are pieces of .

It kept on happening to me though, like 3 more times after the first, and I just changed the USB port that I plug it into on my computer and now it seems to work fine. I guess it's possible to tire out a port with so much data transferring.

why not? screen is bigger, and you can exchange songs through between them. oh and u arent restricted like itune is, i mean i cant just grab songs and drag them into my ipod.

although, there is rumors of another generations of IPOD coming up. same size as the video one, but the screen will take the whole damn space and it will be touch screen.

That's weird though most Ipods don't let you take music from multiple computers... Like on mine (just got a 30gb video :D) if I plug it into my bros laptop it says "if you want to use your ipod on this computer we have to reformat it etc etc"...

Weird.

There is too many microsoft related issues about the Zune. Do a quick search for reviews on Youtube and you'll see what I mean.

zune is ty...iPod still wins ;)

I upgraded my old 3G iPod with the new 80 gig video iPod this xmas...mmm deeeeelicious!!! :D

Dude...bluetooth sunglasses??? Hahaha...that's dorky :p Or you're DOGG CHAPMAN...the bounty hunter!

OH YEAH...to the actual subject - the iPod really should be synchronized with your music/photo library on your computer, it really shouldn't be used as your primary storage device for music/photos. Really sorry to hear you lost all your stuff but you can get it back - will just take time.

Unless you've deleted pictures from your computer and left them only on the iPod?
