You might get a better response in the DJ forum. Perhaps a mod will move it there....?

assuming you've got your tracks correctly warped [if needed] all you do is have one track on each audio channel and then mix using the volume faders? :conf:
it's really not rocket science. |

Why dont you read the manual and go through the tutorials on your legit copy of Ableton before posting insanely stupid threads on forums such as this one. |

It may be easier doing this in the vertical (session?) view rather than arrangement (horizontal tracks). Pardon my terminology, since I have limited experience with Ableton.
If you're doing it in real-time, I would think that's the best way to do it; just launch the clip whenever you would normally hit 'play' on a deck. You can add EQs and other effects as necessary.
Slightly on-topic: what in Ableton is the equivalent to the gain and channel faders? All I've found is the track volume (in the mixer module) as the best fit for channel fader, and perhaps the volume/track display slider for gain. Are there better controls for these? |

Hi guys thanks for your replies. I have read through the manual but it still makes no sense on how to mix live.
one user posetd that if you have the correct warping then just use the volume faders... sureley thats cheating? youve practically done the set before you hit the venue...
I do currently use it at the moment for recording my own compilation cd's and for my radio show. so im quite comfortable with doing that judt couldnt see how it would be done live.
any regards to the finsl scratch thing? |
