I hate to say it, but it's all about the En-Motion remix. Though Ferry's 2004 remix is awesome itself.

I don't think I visualize music in colours, but more in terms of mood, or feelings/emotions, esp. when it comes to trance. Happy, dark, euphoric, etc.

Before this thread goes any further:

Do not confuse synesthesia with just simple relative associations. People associate emotions to colors and people associate emotions to music. Synesthesia is NOT associating a color with music simply because they invoke similar emotive sets.

In my case, trust me - it's not associating emotions to colors. It's actually visualizing them. I also see clear spots and bright lights when a migraine is on the way, or when the weather is about to change rapidly. Lots of ed up going on.....

yeah dude, sudden change in the barometric pressure causes crazy things to happen. sometimes it triggers visuals of clear spots, or little bright lights to appear - which also is serves as warning of a migraine coming on.

In reference to what Margaret and Jon have said...

Margaret seems to be implying that the pioneers use a colour/sound pattern that is the same across the board.

Jon, do you always associate the same colours with similar types of sounds?

I do believe in synethesia, but was curious if this is something that would be experienced in the same way by all those who experience it.

Example- Sound X always produces Colour Y, regardless of person experiencing it.

Right, no I would imagine this is not the case. Mainly because one's interpretation of music varies greatly from one person to the next...

basically sure, but again as RJ said associating sounds to a certain colour is not Synesthesia, no different than reading a book and visualizing is not either. (weird analogy but it's the best I can do for now)

It's hard to describe but it's more like feeling and seeing colors w/ music at the same time. I'm struggling here and sound like a crack head lol
