I only scanned the thread.. but there was a big article in the Globe and Mail about this a few weeks ago..
I found it but you unless you are an insider you have to purchase..
It was a very interesting read.. the thing that stuck out for me was that the participants that were studied associated a colour with each letter of the alphabet. |

I get that too, and I've never taken pills.

Yeah, like I said - this happened to me long before I ever took any mind altering drugs. It happened the most when I first hit my growth spurt in Grade 7.... I think I missed 46 days of school that year, . |

I stumbled across this thread out of bordem at my office. I thought it was interesting. Thanks for this thread jon!! :) Does Synesthesia only apply to associating sounds to different colors? Or can it also mean associating sounds with different sceneries?
I don't necessarily associate sound to color, but whenever I hear a certain sound, I think of different sceneries...for example: forests, rain forests, woods, jungles, volcanoes, ocean, rivers, deserts, etc.
I'm sorry, I didn't get to read the whole thread, but does anyone else visualize this too, or is it just me? My brain is ed!
(sorry, hope this made sense... i'm typing extremely fast so i can close the screen b4 my boss walks by!!) |
