I love Sven, but I think I have to agree on this one. I have to admit that I hypocritcally am the same way with him as a lot of the Tiesto fanboys (though people don't suck Sven's on the boards I'm on like Tiesto's).
I have at least 5 of his sets from this year, and ones going back even until 1993 that I don't listen to as often. Sometimes, I've heard him transition and said "WTF." One instance is on the 5th Season CD where he goes from Goldrapp - Twist into Anthony Rother - Father.
That's the one that sticks out best for me because it pretty much sucks the life out of that high point that's going through Chemical Sweet Girl (dub), Blow, and Twist.
I've heard others, and am awaiting the 7th Season set that should be waiting for me in my office on Tuesday. Curious if I agree with RJT. Are their any particular track transitions I should look out for? I know that I said I hated the transition on Balance 008 from Halycon + On + On into Spirals X that you said you liked, so I'm interested to see if we agree on these ones. |

| Haven't listened in a bit - but I'd say the transitions on Sventh Season probably aren't as bad as some of the live ones I've heard - Which I guess is probably more along the lines of what I'm discussing, simply because some of the transitions I've heard in live sets have definitely killed any energy he'd created, something I'd think a "legendary party DJ" would try to avoid. |

Sven Vath for me will always be Sundays in Tresor Park after the LoveParade and his 10 hours sets. This was a few years back though and I'm not much into his current track selection but as people have pointed out already he projects a lot of fun when DJing.
When thinking about it, he still mixes like it was 1993 (except for the track selection). The world has changed around him but he's still same ol' Sven :) |

I searched for it on beatport a few weeks ago, didn't see it, but now it appears to be there. I guess that whole label of releases got added or sumthin. |
