I really don't understand the obsession with "LABELS". Seriously... who gives a ?

You should buy what you like, and what looks good on you. Buy what you think makes you look fashionable. If you can't figure that out without a tag being on the piece of clothing that subsequently makes the material 150% more expensive than it originally was, your a g00b.

Gah, fricken people being suckered into cosumerism. You pay so much more for the label, and yet you can get the exact same thing, WAY cheaper and without the label somewhere else.

Way to be a slave to corporations.

As right as you are you have to realize no one gives a flying f*ck what you have to say about that, certainly not in this thread.

You wanna talk about fair trade clothing perhaps?
It's the right thing to do yet only the rich can afford that :gsmile:
oh the irony.

99% of my clothing is brand names but I don't do it for a tag or a name but only because I want something that's quality and will last forever.

Oh well if you feel it's right to shop at Walmart good for you :)

Everyone should own a good suit, not a $200 cheapie either, but a good one which has been tailored for them and fits perfectly. Now if youre not ever going to be meeting people for a job interview which might be critical to your career you can probably disregard that and continue getting away with whatever you want.
But in short, if you look like a million dollars you'll get treated like a million dollars in those types of situations and for some of us, (like me who are short-asses and a hard to fit shape) I dont mind having to pay for something that will look good and that doesnt come off the rack looking that way.

Aside from that, most of the fashion industry is a bunch of narky, self rightous bunch of junk vendoring bastards but not all of it is all bad, all of the time just like the people that wear it. Some of it does look original, good and is put together better than cheaper products.
Out of womens fashion I like some of the things Chanel, Dior and Versace make, only a couple of things from Armani and a ton of stuff from Issey Miyake. But I certainly don't wander down the shops to get a litre of milk in it or wear it all of the time :p

Cool stuff though which isnt too expensive some people might like
Cyberdog - http://www.cyberdog.net/
(great T-shirts!)
Rivithead- http://www.rivithead.com/
(great boots!)

you still haven't defined what kind of market/budget you are aiming for.
This is extremely important not only for you obviously but also for us if we are to give you anymore suggestions ;)

I reread your first post .... club street trendy ... that may sound obvious to you but to the average shopper it isn't.

They all seem intertwined but they are not.
LucasYork
Thats because my shop will feature from mid range to certain high range items... its 110sq.. fairly big..

Street wear as in trendy club wear.... tshirts but no cheap tshirts, anything from $60-70AU each... shirts up to $350AU...

Think Italian like DIESEL, or german VSCT.... or Italian NINELIVES.... Its hard to describe, u know?

Hence I just put Club wear, Street Wear, Trendy!

A good example of some might be what you see people wearing on myaknos on the greek islands, all the blokes look a bit gay but dress well! Chicks dress hot too!

I guessi m just looking for what I like, so I have to sniff through every website, some I think eww and some Im like oh yeh! HOT.

Some examples, just exmaple of what i have on my system!!

i'm kind of with theresa on this. i don't feel like a slave to a corporation or anything, but when i have $40 to spend....am i going to buy *1* pair of jeans or 2 and maybe a shirt?

ps i shop at kohls and jcpenney and not to sound ghey or anything, but i like it when things are on sale so i don't have to fork over so much money. granted i'm not like, "OMG THERE'S A SALE AT MACY'S TODAY!" *waves hand*, but if i'm at a store, and i notice there are two things that i like....and one is on sale or cheaper than the other or is on sale....chances are i'll buy the cheaper thing.

pps, i think i've boughten a few shirts from urban outfitters, and a few pairs of sandals....but they were still all under $20. so yeah.
Vlad
I stick to shopping at urban outfitters, not everything they sell is brand name, its fairly inexpensive, and they got nice stuff.

TO the poster...

Energie
Mavi
True Religion
Juicy Couture Mens
Michael Kors
7 For All Mankind
Just Cavalli
Elie Tahari
Paul Smith
Dsquared
Salvage

Vlad
btw, 40 bucks on jeans and 2 tees? wtf! I just buy what I like, some of it is cheap ($40 and under) and some is in the mid-range ($100 and under)... I ever so rarely buy anything that costs over $100 bucks unless its a jacket or shoes.
