actually, some years ago there was this party called 'chapter 8' at Q bar, where the industry heavyweights at the time like
MJ and richie rich would play an 8 hour set!
of course back then i would rather see anyone than armin! ;)

i recon mark james should just give up with playing at trance events and save himself for warmup sets at famous & summadayze.
may, armin then strangis will be more suited |

i'd call him worthy if he actually has done something worthwhile in the past three months, let's say. big ing deal if he got a godskitchen mix cd out. its not that good of a mix anyway. and when was the last time strangis got a promo mix out, let's compare it with steve may's recent mix and i dare you to say that wasn't a good slamming trance mix!
support strangis all you want, but i'd rather support someone who is worthy of my $$ and support. :)

I agree 100%. But then again he is the one who runs the party so he can do as he wishes.

yeh well the Godskitchen cd might've not been a big deal to some, however good mix or not- to be given that opportunity is IN AWESOME imo ;) Obviously he is doing something right, to have been called to mix the cd, & to have been called to support many internationals in previous gigs proves that!
Mark James is a smart man regardless of what anyone thinks of him personally & he wouldnt of put Steve on the bill if he didnt think he was capable of pulling it off!
What does a Promo mix have to do with anything?

I can see your point, however if you know a DJ has got it in them to play a killer set because you have seen them play awesome before, then you know especially for a gig as big as this one that Steve will give it all his best. (he fkn better haha)
I support both Steve's & give credit when credit is due, I have nothing against both of them & and am writing all this in general & am not meaning to compare them, like you are.
If you have something personal against Strangis which it seems like you do, thats too bad, because at the end of the day he is still the one on the lineup & he is going to rock it & you can go cry home to mama.
