Hey , wich is your favourite movie soundtrack? I have a hard time deciding but if i'll have to choose it would be the beautiful soundtrack from A.I

Blade Runner, probably.

old topic but...

The soundtrack for The Good The Bad And The Ugly (1966) by Ennio Morricone which have the best and most epic final scene I ever seen in a movie with the most EPIC score I ever heard "The Ecstacy of Gold". It's the one playing in this tribute to Sergio Leone video:

There are so many golden moments in that movie. I also love the scene were Blondie and Tuco are in the yankees prison camp and the prisoners are forced to sing that song while Tuco is being tortured. That song "The Death of a soldier" is so emotional.

Notice that I didn't even mention the main theme which well doesn't need any introduction. It defined western scores for all future.

Rebel9 FTW! :D Excellent, excellent movie, sir.

Crash. Cliff Martinez's work, like Traffic and Solaris. Stanley Kubrick's movies usually have really cool music, great classical or strange electronic things.

Crash
Man on Fire
Black Hawk Down
Bladerunner
Allied Nations
Vanilla Sky

Not the best movie, but the best sountrack for the movie imaginable.

Leone's movies and Morricone's scores are one, they are masterpieces. They are among the best, however, they're not my personal favourites. Vangelis' "Blade Runner" is, no doubt, just the 10 minute übermasterpiece Blade Runner Blues alone could have made it my favourite score, i listen to BB Blues at least once a day.

VERY honorable mentions:

Thomas Newman "The Shawshank Redemption".
I love his trademark sound, his pianos, scores like American Beauty and Road To Perdition. Shawshank is the finest example.

Hanz Zimmer & James Newton Howard "Batman Begins". Yes, believe it or not. It was reviewed as generic and "Zimmeresque" but i love it. It worked perfectly in the move with a superb combination of dramatic and understating sequences. It contributed in large part to my addiction to the movie. I recorded the end titles from the movie because there are som cues there which are not the cd. I've listened to that 9 min piece an infite amount of times. I can't wait for The Dark Knight.
