AWD without proper tires doesn't do anything... proof:

AHAHHAHAHAHAHAHHA. That was unbelievable, but friggin funny.
Couple of things:
1) That was ice, not snow, you won't slide sideways like that on snow even with summer tires on.
2) Where did you get AWD from?
3) If you're sliding slowly at a 90 degree angle, AWD is about as useless as FWD or RWD.

Just to add to that, AWD is actually WORSE in the ice and snow without proper tires. It makes the cars ass want to slide out sideways all the time. Ive had an AWD car for YEARS, they are scary without snow tires. But man oh man, they are the BEST with a proper set. :)
BTW, that video is GOLD :P

LOL @ the first guy who caused carnage on three occassions...what a douche.
AWD rules (real AWD, none of this part-time )...but as mentioned, it just helps maintain traction...once it's completely lost, you is ed like everyone else.
I miss my old Talon :( It was fun to drift around corners in the snow.

AWD can help maintain a slide with a bit more control than rwd or wwd.
I miss awd too (I had a Mazda 323GTX) but I far prefer rwd to wwd, even in snow.
