Quite striking that you're the one being on it like a fly on cow .

Trouble is, a lot of dance records emerge from production experiments. The two aren't seperated in dance music like they are in other genres, and so they cross over into each other.

I believe production experiments can be compared to jamming.

Ugh, my mistake. I read "quite" as "quit".

That's a very good point.

It's becoming harder and harder to have original aspects of both.

I personally think that "Hammer & Bennett - Language (Santiago Niņo Tech Dub Mix)" is a very good example of a good production quality + a good melody.

Production really fits the track, and the roaring bassline is just awesome :).
KilldaDJ
it has to have a propertie that no other track has

If I had to pick one or the other, melody every time.

I'd rather hear a poorly produced track that I like thana perfectly prodcued, mastered, eq'd track that I think is boring.

Same as I would rather hear good tracks mixed poorly than poor tracks mixed perfectly given one of the two extremes.

The Quest - C Sharp is pretty poorly produced imo, still a good track though.

I have a better question:

QUALITY or MELODY ???
