The energy last night was pretty great. Downstairs was packed when I got there and 4 Strings was just coming on. It sure was hot down there, but the everyone was still having a great time. He started off with his own Take Me Away 2006 (Mac Zimms remix). Man, I still love that track.
It was great seeing everyone there. I didn't stay long because it felt like I was coming down with something. Plus the hot room wasn't helping. On the good side I got my most recent 4 Strings records signed! :) Looks like I'm gonna lay low for the rest of this weekend. |

DaveT you missed a great party last night....TA's that werent in attendance I did take photos and video, so did about 100 other peoples...
I and Jim arrived at the club to see a line forming for the worldly event that was happening as 1015 was split again. 4 Strings in the cirque lounge, and John Beaver, Thomas Radman and Cyber Joe in the front room. Good John you guys sound was on point. Was pleasent hearing the sounds of Ron Reeser again, as I have not seen or heard from him in a while also...
Some of the people in that worldly line recognized me from the weekend before for M.I.K.E., which was cool, but they were in the wrong line...
I convinced a few of them to go the 4 Strings event. They thanked me later on as they too watched people from the other party drool that they could not enter the party from stairs. Was pretty funny because they so wanted to go to the 4 Strings event, but couldnt because security cut them off. Haha.
Along side the room being packed completely full, the tracks Jan played were awsome. A very progresssively good set with Epical Trancy tunes throughout, a bit of electro, a bit of proggy tech-trance. Good sounds throughout the night with some classic choons with his own touch added to them including tracks like Ferry Corstens - Out of the blue, and Delieriums silence.
I thought along side many other folks that it was a good call having 4 Strings in the Cirque Lounge. The night felt like a private event with the way people were in the room, I did see patrons buying VIP last night as well, and everyone looks to have had an awsome time. There were plenty of women in the room and the ratio was even, so it looked like everyone had someone to dance with.
I befriended some new faces at the club last night, and passed out all of the remaing 120 Mixed CD's I had from last weeks show with Artimus. Was awsome having some Raver's in the house last night, battle circles and lightshows throughout the night made it feel like old times.. first time in a long time. I do hope to see you all at one of my events when I play at the 1015 again.
Taj and Mystres sets were also great, and had me dancing early on. Mystre did get off earlier though, so everyone was treated to some early on 4 Strings. I belived he played to around 3:45 or so?
A couple of people left our party to go to Digweed. I gave em a message to give to JD,.. "tell him Blurr says your missing a bomb ass party, and says wish you were here"...
Im dissapointed at some of the video I took with my camera. The sound quality is there, but the room was too dark and alot of the video came out dark. Ill pick and choose later what I can post here, including some of the pictures I took last night.

Some of you were asking me what kind of heaphones he was using. They were AKG K 181 DJ's.
Sound quality on these is crystal clear.
Also had a chance to chit chat with Jan De Vos last night. Asked him what his thoughts were and what he thought of the night.
In his words "I had an excellent time, and everyone was awsome. This is really great". I believe he also said he hoped to be returning, and that the club was a really nice club. I tried to make out what he was saying.. (I swear in about 5 more years ill be Frankie Wilde...)
I did give Jan my last CD I had in my pocket. I hope he has a listen and gives me some feedback. Also my emails on there, so when he emails me anyone who has photos and stuff ill send over to him.

Great night!!!!!!
It was nice to finally see Mystre in person...after years of hearing him in my car.
I love Jan!
I thought we were going to feel like sardines in that room. I actually liked it. There was a lot of energy from the crowd.
Jan did say that he is planning on coming back...I can't remember if he said in May or in the Summer.
I was going to put my pictures up on my myspace blog. Would you prefer that I put them up on here?
I also have some video. I'll see if I can post them up on here (may not be the best videos). I'll email Rizen if I need any help.
Again, that was a great night.
I even made it to my CPR class in time. I woke up five minutes before it started. Thank goodness the class was taking place in the building next door to my place. |

edit: quick review before getting dinner. i almost went to JD because of my friend but glad we didnt. 4strings/jan played some really uplifting stuff which I really needed due to unexpected events and my friend enjoyed it as well. she even got 2 people to come from some gig in north beach in the middle of jan's set. i cut the above video but early into it you hear me yelling OMG OUT OF THE BLUE!!! :o I know T Dizzle wishes he was there now, because we were listening to Ferry's stuff on the way home from M.I.K.E. last week :D |

I have uploaded my pictures. There are some that I should have deleted 'cause there are only blurry lights, but oh well.

Glad you figured out Picasa. The program also has a red eye fix (although not the best) and option to rotate pictures (see http://www.nextlevel.ws/rizo/picasa-mht.jpg). Picasa/Google's online album features are actually pretty cool too.

I don't doubt I missed fun, just I felt drained going into the night and could never get any energy...and as it turns out, looks like it was because I've gotten the flu!! It's been wreaking havoc at work.
