PURE done for good? (pg. 6)

Their is, but NOT LIKE PUREFUTURE. 3-Men--> Lead that Company...you best believe every single cent that is invested in bank will probably be seized by Government. Company looks like its done, All of Chicago will know about this and the "employees including Dj's" might not have best reputation when joining another Company or booking venue. It's like working for Target and they fire you because you knew someone stoled something. Trying to find another job after that (good-luck) Not saying anyone employees knew...but... that doesn't matter.
As far as planning goes---for future events I don't think much is going to happen. After future dates for dj's are done (so is pure)
I won't say from who I heard, but thru e-mail i was told by a FORMER EMPLOYEE that PURE is SHADDY without a doubt and screwed (this person over) a couple times.

you are talking out of your ass. i have not had any problems getting gigs since this, if anything ive gotten more because now i dont have to play exclusively for pure. as far as planning goes, there is alot going on that you simply just dont know about. |

I can see why you are "attempting" to defend Pure, I guess I would do the same.

I don't see anyone defending Pure as a company, just the boatloads of REALLY REALLY GOOD PEOPLE who did work for Pure.
The biggest travesty in all this is that uninformed folks all over are making judgments about anyone who ever worked for Pure based on this situation.

No, but you basically accused him of defending an entire company that you are labeling as "corrupt."
All I'd ask is that you take a step back, look at what you're saying, and ask yourself "How much about this whole situation do I actually know?" before you post. |

you were stating everything like it was a fact. you are stating on a public forum that people will have a hard time getting jobs because they worked for some company that turned out to have some bad going on behind the scenes that they didnt know abot. you are a random observer of the situation who has no clue. if you had any kind of respect for the seriousness of the situation and all of the people who's jobs and livelyhood were affected by this, you would go back and delete or edit your previous posts.
if it makes you feel good to keep pointing out that people worked for companys that had unknown corruption going on, then go for it. whatever gets your rocks off bro. we can all tell you had some sort of problem with pure before this and you were waiting for something like this to happen to take a stab at it. did they not book you or something?
i am not defending the accused in any way. what those guys did was very bad. im trying to defend the 20+ innocent employees who had nothing to do with this and trying to stop the rumour mill from spinning out of control.
of course the pure name is gone, but the venues will take over where pure left off. the other employees of pure were offered new jobs by these nice people already. the booking agents are going to continue to work closely with these venues and all scheduled shows are still happening.
so much to your dismay, things are looking quite good, considering the circumstances. |

Well ideally, when a CEO is corrupt I would be under assumption it would have to be MUCH further down the tree. Again I don't know this at this point I guess you can say "I am making assumptions/acquisitions"
I Highly doubt any PERFORMERS knew--but I am sure more THAN those 3 people accused--know something.

Obviously a lot of people are talking right now, and wrapped up in the drama of it all, but the "shock" will fade, and so my question to everyone is what kind of good do you think can come out of all of this? I know for a lot of you, this news probably brought about a bit of uncertainty - but in your opinions, is there any silver lining for the scene in Chicago?
I only ask because I haven't a clue (what with being a billion or so miles north and all :p) - but I figure there has to be something!
And @ Dj Spiel - all you're doing is adding to the monumental pile of bull speculation, finger pointing, and general douchebaggery that has seemingly arisen globally due to this situation. Knock it off - there's nothing productive in it. |

By no means do I have any anger "towards pure" And FYI no I have never seeked to "get booked by pure" or anyone else for that matter. I dj as a hobby mate. I have a professional career as a Jr.Systems Administrator--Like I said I'm not trying to offend anyone and. Yes, you're right this is a public forums & we should be able to say what we think i.e our opinions. I think if my comments were out of hand I'll leave that up to mods to decide. Yes things are looking quite good..I don't think anyone knew about people getting offered jobs etc/etc--but from looks of it EVERYONE from pure is leaving...so technically I guess we can say it will die of slowly? ? ? I never like to see people lose jobs it's horrible.. so this is good news on the employees part. AS far as rumor mill & acquisitions --each person on this board will make their own conclusion or guess as to what will happen, It's a public board man,what do you expect?
