it warms my heart that you and Wai would request that song for me!! This is the second time in a month (ryantyas) that I missed one of my fav toons :( :( boo. Plus Wai practically was killing herself to request good songs, so we can ALL appreciate you effort!! *mwah*
So sorry to everyone, I left a little before 4 because, as I had previously mentioned, I had had a head cold for like 2 days. PLus my friend was visiting and we decided to start drinking around 6pm. I was drunk before I even GOT to the club!! lol duhhhh......The combo of the 2 made me crash and burn around the time I left. I am paying for it today!! :( :(
Anyways, I thought Jason's set was the best I have ever heard him play!! nice job mr. Jollins, you even had this drunk girl dancin it up!! ;) :)
G&D was good, not spectacular but good enough that they kept me dancin til 4am. The fact that the played mincircus alone will make me want to see them again (i think). lol
Had a great time as usual being silly with wai and andrew. Andrew is so crazy bc he is such a super polite guy to us, but has bitches slapping him across the face practically at every event we go to!! LOFL!!! love it you frisky bastard!!
Lost my sexy couple lyss and drew (you guys looked damn cute last night!) and met gmoney for uno momento. Surprise of the night: seeing pete all rough and stuff with his afro puff, and seeing Sam fly down to the dance floor when he saw me!! haha good to see you having so much fun! :) good times people.
Lesson learned: 2 hours of pregame is plenty! Headaches suck!!

Jason > G&D thats all i can say...jason you really threw down some wicked beats and it was probably the best part of the night for me...G&D was ehhh
hmm also that 18+ crowd was HORRIBLE but kinda amusing...u could see all the fresh/young faces out that night...drunk guys everywhere trying to pick up girls...even funnier seeing some ppl looking lost ahahah i remember seeing a scrawny kid trying to dance to the music but it looked more like he was halfheartedly moving his arms but not his body...i was cracking up...yeah madd bday parties, saw a girl wearing this happy bday headpiece and burst out laughing...saw thsi guido checking out his hair on the dance floor by the mirrored dj booth, which made drew and i CRACK UP
lukewarm vibe overall
and iono, for some reason I have YET to have a good experience at Pacha...sometimes always seems to happen...iono i didnt like the vibe of the place, and then i got sick a bit later in fact near the beginning of G&Ds set so I kept going downstairs or on the side to sit..eventaully i couldnt take it anymore so we all left around 3:30-4AM (someone told me there were LASERS at this event, which I missed and by then i could even care less). G&D were pretty much HIT or MISS with their tracklist and set flow. I dunno I just wasnt feeling it and im not sure I will go and see them again. I think the only great moments I remembered was of course with the TAs :toothless love u all, as usual...kelly, wai, kellys best friend, tom, jason, pete, dave, sam...i didnt see u molly i wish i had :( also saw ay star in the crowd
hate to say it but I actually prefer Crobar over Pacha, Pacha's dance floor is a tad too small and I always have to wear earplugs at Pacha. the sound system though is awesome

btw Kelly, it was soo funny how we ran into u, wai and ur best friend downstairs...u didnt recognize drew with his contacts on ahah (well u were crunked also so that might have explained it ahah) anyway, thanks for the compliment...thank my girl Erica from DC for that, she usually loves to look good when she goes out clubbing in DC, so that night I was encouraged in that regard...
she also loves taking pictures so we took a few. Here is one of us next to the Pacha sign:

isn't she just HOT? and she's a GREAT dancer too...she got approached by SOO many guys lol

hrms dave dresden looks dorky. hahah.

Despite everybody's horrible reviews, I had a great time. Pacha's sound system makes every party held there sound great. I thought G&Ds set was full of energy from start to finish.
Getting inside was the nightmare. I got on line at 11:40, and I don't think I made it inside until around 1. They kept everyone out in the 10 degree weather for at least an hour. Then when you get inside the door, you get blasted with the backdraft of their heating fan (cold air). Then you have to fight your way up to the front of the ticket booth. That took about another 30 min. I'm going early for now on.
Sorry if I lock up your computer, but everything below will eventually load. Death to all those without broadband internet :tongue2

wow! Thanks so much guys for the kind words regarding my set and thanks to those who came extra early to hear me play. :) I truly mean this when I say that the TA crowd is the best crowd to play for in NYC, there's no doubt about it.
While I have always enjoyed there dj sets, I've become a really big fan of Gabriel & Dresden's production work. They are amazing in the studio and it was a privilage to open for them once again. They are really cool guys too, they opened up a lot to me last night.
While I can see how some from this board didn't enjoy the earlier part of there set on Friday as it was less trancey than usual, I personally enjoyed the sound they were playing and I felt they did a really good job in building there set throughout the night (touching on a lot of different sounds and elements).
They played a new track of there's at around 4:30am that they just finished and it's huge. I don't know what they named it or when it's going to be released but it's massive.
Anyway, thanks so much for all of the continued support and I hope to see you all again real soon :)
