[REVIEW]: Spundae Circus LA w/ Johan Gielen, Sat. 1/27

Just came back from a fantastic night. It was my first time as a NY-er at Circus and I must say what a great venue! I thought all three main rooms had good music. Drinks weren't as pricey as Vanguard. I also thought it was cool how the dj booth was not so high. The mexican food was also tasty. I also got to take a picture with Johan - it was a great way to end the night. :)
Hello to everyone I got to see again and hello to the new ta's I got to meet today, you are all nice. LOL.
Also to the hoola-hoop girl ... how impressive.

| Let me tell you. I have never seen a line up so solid in the Main Room WOW Victor D you ripped it very impressed and of cours Johan always a pleasure. He made me want to dance. But the the Highlight of the night DMorse ripped that that stage in half. I have pixs coming soon so if you wernt there hang tight for the hottest talent in LA on Saturday Jan 27th. |

still partying from last night. doing the afterhours thang!!!!! training for miami!
last night at spundae was very nastolgic to say the least. we ended up at avalon but so did lots of others from spundae. but johan was crackecd out at avalon :)
but hey who wasn't????

fun night, i have some video and photos that i will post up as soon as we process it.
it was nice meeting new TA's i hadn't met before...

PS. DOES ANYONE KNOW OF A GOOD MECHANIC IN THE LA AREA????????
i spun out getting on the 101 while driving toward spundae and ruined the right side of my rear axel... my car is still in LA off 2nd street. (i live in corona lol) |

well, everybody knew what my opinion of JG's set...
ANNOYINGLY UNPLEASANT TO THE EARS!
it was definitely the worst mixing i've heard. the backroom and loft djs were much better with their track selections and mixing with a little hints of effects here and there.
however, JG was just whack! unless your brain was totally ed up, this guy is so anticlimactic! was overdoing all the effects and it was all noise! he'll just play maybe 1-2 minutes of the melody and then 5 minutes of noise.:whip: :whip: :whip:
the only worthwhile thing last night was to see you guys up and about:D |
