True, problem is that those mental disorders will cause people to overeat and once they become overweight the mental disorders are amplified due to a worsening of their self-image. Vicious circle that in the end causes people to be morbidly obese at times. People are so quick to say someone is obese because they're lazy and don't like to exercise when at times theres a lot more too it.
There needs to be some personal trainer/psychologist for these people. It's seriously what they need if you think about it. You can't fix the one problem without fixing the other. Same way you treat a drug addict. You detox them to physically get the drug out of them but them you counsel them for the mental/emotional problems that caused them to become an addict as well as the mental problems that come from withdrawal. |

I guess not completely. I guess it was more my take on what you were trying to say.
First off I would have to call the condition 'obesity' but say it's caused be 'mental disorders' and not 'weak mindedness.' Mental disorders can stem from physical abnormalities in one's brain although this is not always the case. |

I'm not "looking down". I'm just disgusted by it. You're gonna tell me you're NOT disgusted when you look at that chick?
And yeah, I AM against people who do those things in excess. And I DO believe one has to live a healthy life themself if they're going to preach health onto others.
Which is why I do, because I'm a nursing student. :) |

I definitely am disgusted, the same way I'm disgusted when I see someone choking down cigarettes one after the other. I just think if people are going to be disgusted with obese people it should be because they look "unhealthy" not "fat and unattractive" as well as live healthy lives themselves. |

| Most overweight people don't really start ballooning until their 30s or so. By then a large percentage of them are already married and don't really care about the attractiveness bit, which is the main reason that lots of people exercise in the first place, and they already have a partner and a steadily decreasing sex drive to boot. |
