giuliani is a disgrace. a mediocre mayor with a major authoritarian streak who was fortunate enough to govern during a time of national crime reduction and who has shamelessly turned 9/11 into a personal piggybank for his consulting firm -- and who is now trying to ride his self-made myth into the white house.
like the current goons in power, rudy never met a corporate deal he didn't like or a piece of socially just legislation he wouldn't veto.
he's like bush, except he roots for the yankees and is (as of today) less beholden to religious freaks -- his repeated adulterous relationships and his first marriage to a close cousin might have something to do with his agnosticism... |
Thank you.
As for "my personal rights" being violated. Let me count the ways in which our government has violated my personal rights to gather, or the way the government censors the voices of the families of those who have died in this war. Why is it that unless I have "payoff" money (ie: permits and licenses) to have a private party at a banquet hall, my party isn't happening? Why is it that my son, a budding bassist, has to go to a private school in order to excel in his music? Why is it that now that when I fly into places like Mexico and Canada, I have to now have my passport (which, btw I lost two gigs because I didn't have mine)?
Oh, I forgot. I'm a damn terrorist because I gather with my friends in the middle of the desert to dance ritualistically to repetitive electronic music. I'm anti-patriotic because I speak out on behalf of my cousin who is a mental case due to PDSD (which btw - the VA doesn't recognize as an illness). Oh wait, my son being an "artist" isn't good for big business so let's eliminate these programs and raise the standards in such thing like math and science (which are good for business). I forgot that we're trying to keep terrorists out of the country, but don't these guys usually carry passports?
I'm not hiding anything that's for sure. If I was, I surely wouldn't be as vocal as I am about such things. I just feel that our government needs to pay attention the citizens it serves, rather than run it's own agenda despite the opposition. |

Yes we are.. and Im not saying that a Democrat will, just that I think that a Democrat will do better Foreing Policy than any standing republican ...I wouldnt be surprised if I see Colling Powell siding with a democrat |

I would vote for Hilary just because anything to get Bill Clinton back in the white house is win.
+ Of all of the senators current positions on Iraq, hers was the best I've read. |

Haha, this is rich. Pretty much a paraphrase of that bumper sticker: "It's okay, I wasn't using my civil liberties anyway." |

You mean this one?
She supports... "Phased redeployment out of Iraq, beginning immediately"
Keep in mind she voted YES for using military force in Iraq.
Let me translate that for you... "We surrender."
When the Iraq Army can defend itself, then we're done. Pull out now and the situation would only get worse. |

I'm not even going to attempt to defend my position, since its pretty obvious you dont understand the situation in Iraq at all. It wouldn't get anywhere. Also, that is not her position on Iraq. If you were to give me her real position on Iraq, it would require several pages. |
