| I'm going to have to side with science on this one. I like religion, but only for the various things it teaches. Do I think that there is some sort of God? Honestly, I don't know. There are some great pieces of advice, moral suggestions and aspects of living your life that each religion teaches, and that's what I like about it. |

For sure, being belayed about the head with it though by frothing fanatics is usually enough to dampen the enthusiasm for organised religions for a lot of people that cherish the idea of being able to make up their own mind with objective information. |

i read this article at work this morning.
personally, i don't like the whole science vs relgion debate for two reasons:
1) I am a scientist.
2) I am a catholic.
the only way my brain can comprehend both of these concepts [at the same time] is that science and God are the same thing. |

You know, this is why I keep saying that science is a quasi-religion.
That being said, I've got to admit that I find empirical interpretations more reliable than a priori beliefs. |
