Yeah I'll be cool...I'm sure I'll get an extension anyways, which will really help me.
There IS a slight positive though...my new client lives in the same residence as my old one...so I won't have to collect new data about her living arrangements and such. The other good thing is I hadn't handed in my first summary yet, so I can just change stuff around to fit my new client. W00t! |

Yeah, my college degree and a year of grad school.
Though the experience was not all for nothing, it eventually turned out to not be what I was looking for and now I am back basically at square one, but with $20k in student loans from it.
I did have a professor that made people feel like you do every semester in one of his classes. He would go on and on about how much the final was going to cover, and all of the freshman and sophmores who were taking one of his classes for the first time would wig out and cram for days to be ready for the final (which he said would be worth 50% of the course grade as an added clench factor). They would show up to the final and it would be a 3 page multiple choice exam where you had to be REALLY stupid to not be able to answer the questions right. And spelling your own name correctly on the top of the page was worth 10% extra credit. (there were actually people who spelled their own names wrong too hehe). Needless to say they were all a bit distraught afterwards.

You know what's ed up? For the past few days I had a gut feeling that my second interview wasn't gonna happen...on the bus on the way over to this lady's place I was REALLY flustered about it, thinking I was gonna show up and she wouldn't be there. The only rational thing I could come up with for feeling this way was that perhaps I got my dates wrong.
So of course I get there and find out she is in fact NOT THERE!
The other crazy thing is, the thing that put her in the hospital is exactly what I was going to do health teaching with her on, because I was worried it was an area of concern.
How's that for nursing intuition???
The other thing is...I was sorta bogged down with homework and REALLY was not in the mind set to go there last night. In the back of my mind I was hoping I DID screw up the dates. I felt that weird guilt when I found out she was in the hospital.

The oldest student I've ever taught excelled himself in the last exam. I wrote him a letter telling him how proud I was of his achievements and attached it to his school report.
He died before getting it :( |

yup. Stayed late last night to work on presentation for a meeting, spent like 4 hours making it, just to have my supposed presentation partner (who was home on time last night, playing his f-n X-box) call it "ugly". I gave him the file and told him to do it himself.

Heh, of course...in these kind of situations that's always a given. I've always looked at problems that way. Like my teacher reminded me, this is an area for professional growth, so I welcome it in a sense. I just don't welcome having to do all that work, lol.
BTW, toodlebux(Radagast), yes she IS more than just a specimen. My concerns are not just for myself...I just don't feel it necessary to share all my personal feelings about my relationship with her. That's a whole other issue that I'll deal with WITHOUT sharing it with the c0re. :p |
