Has anyone here other than RJT read any feminist literature, or are you all just bloviating about things you know nothing of?

He asked us about our stereotypes, I think we're doing a pretty good job of letting him know what they are.

My friend's aunt is actually a prominent author of feminist literature...I'll see what info I can get from him about her/her work...if anyone's interested.
RJT
For anyone who's interested, my two favorite Ecofeminist Philosophers that quickly come to mind: Val Plumwood and Karen Warren.

I'm guessing no one's interested.

Well, this thread went about as well as planned.

and you have 2 people to talk to here, what are you bitchin' about? :p
MrJiveBoJingles
This thread took off pretty quickly. I would say there is at least some interest, if only negative for many people.

I said it went as well as I planned! :p

The only problem is that the two people posting in this thread about feminism are two people with whom I am highly likely to agree on the subject (and particular, the superficiality of much of it) ;)

I actually have been meaning to read some of Simone De Beauvoir's works. Don't know how relevant her stuff is to what you're talking about though, RJT.

Kind of. She definitely layed the groundwork for the idea of oppositional dualism that is explored in much greater detail by other philosophers later on.
