Has anyone here other than RJT read any feminist literature, or are you all just bloviating about things you know nothing of? |
He asked us about our stereotypes, I think we're doing a pretty good job of letting him know what they are.
My friend's aunt is actually a prominent author of feminist literature...I'll see what info I can get from him about her/her work...if anyone's interested. |

For anyone who's interested, my two favorite Ecofeminist Philosophers that quickly come to mind: Val Plumwood and Karen Warren.
I'm guessing no one's interested.

| This thread took off pretty quickly. I would say there is at least some interest, if only negative for many people. |

I said it went as well as I planned! :p
The only problem is that the two people posting in this thread about feminism are two people with whom I am highly likely to agree on the subject (and particular, the superficiality of much of it) ;) |

| I actually have been meaning to read some of Simone De Beauvoir's works. Don't know how relevant her stuff is to what you're talking about though, RJT. |

Kind of. She definitely layed the groundwork for the idea of oppositional dualism that is explored in much greater detail by other philosophers later on. |
