Stinkenfold did bite the big "CHEEEEEEEEEEEESE" at WEMF2000 and to make matters worse ... he was 2 hrs LATE !!!

AND! his special guest max graham didn't get to show up because he gave his plane ticket to oakey so he could play. Max would have dominated that crowd in the big hangar. That was probably the best party I've ever been too. 6am in the big hangar, the moring fog filling it like pea soup. All the lights and lasers tracing arcs through the fog. Looking around and seeing everyone happy. amazing.

Useful and valid point!

Personally, Id rather see DJ Astrid. But then again, because WEMF is usually a few days long (unless im REALLY confused), we can count on more than one act being there. Talla would be great, I would also love to see Cosmic Gate, Rank 1, Gielen, John Kelly, Scot Project... and many more.

sarcoman,

I'm with ya on the astrid. I'd rather see her then just about anyone else. If she comes over I'll finally get to have sex with her too, or at least get shot down in a blaze of glory. Probably the latter.

DJ MG
well id like to this even if it happins this year :D I want Talla 2xlc to come he is one dj I would like to see :D
bluE_Neon
i think first of all that WEMF doesn't bring in all these big name dj's and thats really good :) last year we had Nostrum, Jon the Dentist, John 00 Fleming, Commander Tom, Christopher Lawrence, Chris Liberator, Fergie, Scott Stubbs as some of the trance dj highlights..
i think Talla wud be a perfect for one of the many dj's to show up at WEMF this year :) also i agree on DJ Astrid, Sandra Collins, Max Graham, D:Fuse, Adam Freeland  and of course Hybrid :D

I know, WEMF does't get that many big names at all. I was so pissed Nostrum didn't show up last year....So much crazy happened that weekend. I posted my story long ago =) That venue was discusting.... We'll see about this year, if it looks good, I shall go :D

We are in the final planning stages for WEMF2002 as we speak. This year its Aug 2-4 (its a long weekend...). The DJ lineups are about 75-85% set and a flyer will hit the streets on Victoria Day Weekend in May. The full lineup should hit our website a few days before that (wemf.com).

Some familier faces are back on the main stage this year, but we have actually done the biggest overhaul of talent of any of the past WEMF's - look for a lot of new artists to grace the main and other stages this year. In addition, if everything falls into place as planned over the next few weeks, there will be a major 19+ licensed area on site basically taking up one of the tents - likely big enough for a few thousand people.

Other interesting changes and updates are in the works - stay tuned for more updates.

Nice, looks like someone got the hint. It's amazing to hear that you'll have the flyer out so early. There is going to be so much time to spread the word, and build the hype up for this event. Hopefully you can get a venue as good as dunville airport again. I thought that venue kicked ass. Being a pilot I loved seeing the old world war two trainers painted in yellow buzzing overhead during the day, and loved the hangar as the main stage. You set totally blew me away that night, without sounding overly kiss ass, I thought you and Mark EG were tied for my fav. Your set was better, but his energy was just over the top. It's hard to beat a guy that smashes records over his face and then tosses them out into the crowd. You'll have to keep everyone up to date by making posts on this board as you get details.

Dj Cold As Ice
Well, I heard that Lange might be considered or possibly booked for wemf 2002, I emailed him earlier in the year, and he was more than happy about making his debut appearance in canada, and his agent was also speaking to destiny about performing for them soon, so here's to hoping.

Failsafe, I really admire how you're not afraid to speak your mind, and yes, I would agree with you about marco v to an extent, in my mind he's ok, but I don't think he's a trance dj, more housey in my opinion.

OS/2 (Ryan), congrats on doing up another WEMF for us. I hope you guys pull off the most successful 3 day ever. :)

Btw, How good is this Talla 2xlc guy or guys? or persons? lol :stongue:

Ryan, I hope you can bring in Producers like PUSH or Dumonde, because that would be amazing, and hopefully Mark EG will be able to come back to Canada in time for WEMF this year. I don't know how long he's still banned here for. :(

No, not because he didn't come to toronto. I wouldn't have watched him spin anyway even if he had. I just don't like his style. Perhaps you should "Get your straight" before jumping to conclusions. One final side note, it seems everyone that loves marco v exhibits, how should I put it..... gino tendancies? bud, bro, guy, solid.... perhaps i'll get people threatening to beat me up now too..

First things first, getting your together was directed at your bad mouthing of a dj, i don't believe any dj should be bad mouthed; they all work hard and deserve some sort of respect, regardless is you like them or not. And honestly what i find typically is this type of attitude, the bashing type, is common amongst street kid scrubs who call themselves ravers...

grow up, a simple i don't like his style would have been suffice...
