| Not that I'm believing or agreeing with any of the stories the rumour mill is pumping out, but in my opinion the place was destined for failure from the day it opened. I love the place and will be bummed to see it close as much as the next person, but ...the place was picked apart after EVERY event there. From the price of cover, DJ's booked, residents, price of water, no gum, too dark/too light, too straight/too gay, booking the same DJ's/booking DJ's you've never heard of, it's too packed and hot/it's too empty...for christ's sake someone was even complaining about the flyers they had on the wall! Everyone was complaining about it being too 'tribal'...they start bringing in new talent with different sounds...and then people are wondering where all the tribal went. Like honestly, it sucks if it does close, but can you blame them? |
