Wow, and only a few days ago, people were ruthlessly jumping all over someone posting this very statement...

Sad news to hear. I don't go out that much, but Sonic had me from when I started out going there. A shame...

WRONG! Sonic NEVER announced Stephan Grondin for Friday, March 2nd, never....

Get your facts straight!

Maybe Sonic hadn't announced officially (for obvious reasons).. He had on his myspace page schedule for March 2nd: Sonic, Toronto.. which was later changed to Sonic TBC (To Be Confirmed), and now it has no mention of Sonic... It does say now he's going to spin at Fly, his former residence...

I wouldn't say that's proof of Sonic closing though. Maybe he just changed venues.

You are totally right.. That doesn't prove anything. But it's natural that people would think something is going on when the resident DJs of a club start showing up at other venues, just a thought...

I would agree with you there. It would seem a little fishy and cause me to wonder. But I think an announcement from Sonic should be made before rumor threads start popping up like all the Guv closing ones do.

By rights the Gluv should have been history already. If it wasn't for the city dragging there heals and changing their minds due to mayoral election mandates. I believe last year would have been it's last already. That wasn't just a rumor either. That area of the waterfront was/is still rezoned pending final proposals. The Gluvs days are still numbered.:thepirate
