...but I can. Nevertheless, you're right.

My brothers a NIN addict, and hes done everything but have a signed legal document from Trent saying "I leaked everything." to prove it.

well, I used to love NIN, as well, but then I grew out of it, and the lyrics were part of it. Sure, it's fun to vent for a while, but after you sort things out, hearing somebody who's been bent on the same immature 'me vs. the world' idea for almost 2 decades is tiresome and uninteresting.

That's what is changing about this new album.

Go check out the website - it's very, very political.

I agree that you simply can't make the same interesting music over and over for a long time without it becoming dull - and for the record, I don't think Trent is really a genius. He is, however, a great testament to the fact that an artist is only as creative as his influences and I do hold him in high regard for his work on a lot of the industrial scene, despite the fact that he is not a 'pioneer' in any sort of the word.

I will, however, be very disappointed if this new album sucks but still manages to sell better then Skinny Puppy's last two. They have been political as hell and if Trent manages to steal another damn grammy after imitating their sound, it will really hurt my image of him. :stongue:

I'd actually rather have him whine about not being wanted than to try & make political statements, the nature of which people far more intelligent and informed than he have already made, outside of the limiting constraints of song lyrics. But to each his own...

We need Uncle Al to fire up the Ministry war wagon again for some poke in the eye of US politics.
I'll buy the new NIN album regardless, seem to have ended up with everything else he ever wrote :p

You'd swear that US politics do a good enough job on that all by itself...

But I suppose the government has many eyes. :p
