1) A film should be able to do what it intends to do (critics often want films to be the way they like, instead of watching the film as it was meant to be seen);
2) Acting must be convincing, except when this goes against rule #1;

?? i was adding onto Suspicion's cinematography rant. they aren't the best movies of the year/quarter/week of release, but they got some superb shots in there |

That's not CGI.
edit // Come to think of it, a lot of the Matrix, with the exception of the squids and the 1000000 Agent Smiths, isn't CGI. |
