To be honest, I never chew gum for very long, and I try not to chew it at all, so I wouldn’t know.
I have a sensitive stomach due to an ulcer in high school, and chewing gum stimulates stomach acid. Your body thinks you are eating when you chew (no matter what it is) and digestion starts in the mouth when you start chewing, so your brain recognizes this chewing motion and associates it with eating food, which makes your stomach prepare to break the food down…but when it’s gum, there’s no food being swallowed, so you have stomach acid in your tummy with no food.
/health lesson lol
ps- i'm eating cheddar chex mix now. bleh. |
Ahhh.So that's why my stomach always gets all weird when i chew gum. Thanks for that.Never knew that.Who woulda thunk it. |

I would think that a little red meat is a bit more healthy than alfredo - unless it is a tofu alfredo.
I am not italian though - but I do enjoy some good pasta |
