I've only driven home once completely trashed, and it was one of the most scariest drives back for me. Saw 3 different police cars that night. I got real lucky. Don't plan on doing that ever again.
I have though, driven home while coming down from an mj high. I drive just fine. |

Yeah seriously, THIS is why we have age limits. Because ing idiots can't handle the responsibility of drinking.
If you can't plan ahead to take a cab or whatever, you shouldn't be allowed the privilege of getting wasted! sakes it's NOT that hard.

What I've noticed is that there is a point between slightly buzzed and totally wasted where you are not really ok to drive but the alcohol makes you think "hey I'm not really drunk, I can drive ok". I think this happens more to men who think that drinking more makes you more of a man so by the same token if you can still drive ok you are more manly or some like that.
As far as driving high goes, that depends on the drug.
Ok to drive on:
Coke
Meth/Amps - unless you are on a 3 day bender and you are hallucinating
Opiates - low doses if you are opiate tolerant and know they won't make you drowsy. Not ok if you are going to be nodding
Not Ok to drive on:
Any psychedelic - common ing sense here. You might be ok to drive on E if its the comedown
Alcohol
Weed - I know people who can drive ok on weed but not smart for the general public. Maybe ok on the comedown
Benzos at recreational doses - duh, that is an accident waiting to happen |

funny story,
one time in college i was pretty wasted, and someone handed me their car keys to drive them home, and i said, " no!" and i through their keys into the front lawn. hahha |
