They've intentionally mixed it and not specified which nation it is.
Niko is a Finisih or Croatian name. Clearly he's not Finish.
Bilic would be Croatian but by putting in an e instead of an i it means he's not quote Cro but could be Serb or Macedonian.
Also, none of us use double letters.
It's intentional for them to make it like that. |

the bloom is executed so well! first game ever to use bloom that doesn't require the player to wear sunglasses
also, look at the bricks on the bridge, is that bumpmapping or is that raw power? either way, ing amazing. |

Bloom is a shader effect. It's a light effect. Example:

Bloom is a technique to better simulate light from their sources. The word I always use is "leak." Light will leak around objects, much like it will happen in real life.
unfortunately, most game developers are so rich, they wear sunglasses all day and don't realize that not EVERYTHING has a light source behind it.
such as the new game HAZE:
bloom leak at its worst. Photobucket is gay and downsizes my images, but if you look elsewhere, there is just as much bloom around the grass on the floor as there is in the sky. Which is dumb because the ground isn't emitting that much light. If you've played Ghost ReconAW2, the bloom is just as horrible. You need stunna shades to play that game without squinting.
developers use it to make their graphic engines look DA BOMB, but it looks stupid if its just a horribly executed gimmick.
HDR is a much more heavy process with tons more calculations (doesn't make sense because most people say HDR enabled gives them higher framerates than disabled) to simulate light sources bouncing off each other. The Source Engine (from Valve, ie Half Life 2) takes it another step by emulating the actual human eye. their biggest example is a dynamic bloom, which will make things temporarily very BRIGHT (lots of leak)as the player goes from a dark room to a bright roomm, as to emulate the human iris adjusting to the light in the room.
bloom and HDR are actually very old, but processing power has enabled regular consumer CPU/GPU/PPUs(rofl) to be able to use these techniques. its just that all the devs seems to overdo it. |

what? yes it is!
GTA3 started on the ps2, has been released for consoles first everytime, does not necessarily enhance control or gameplay to use a mouse and keyboard, any console game can be run at higher resolutions with a PC port, and last i checked the main PC feature was creating your own tracklist...
and how is it not a console game? there isnt even multiplayer originally in the game to justify it as a PC game.
you can argue for a preference to waiting a year and playing it on a PC just because. but that doesnt make it NOT a console game|
GTA1&2 were PC games, but they were horrible and little if nothing to do with the current releases... |
