I also can hear 21.1kHz. So apparently I am a dog or a mosquito. But I had to have my volume on full blast. That was the worst test ever. I need to listen to some music now to soothe my ears.

The highest pitched ultrasonic mosquito ringtone that I can hear is 21.1kHz
i think we all can hear it due to the volume increase, try them all on low level, i cant hear past 17

ok, cat Dolls is over... ok... AFter reading everyone's responses, I believe I'll be reading the good earlplug threads previously posted, and get me a pair. I am at par with most of you so being 30something I don't feel bad since I have the hearing of a 20 year old according the the enalysis... but it's a good time to start, as the last thing I want to yell is "I've fallen and I can't get up".

for earplugs, i suggest the ones similiar to the ones i have. it lowers the amount of bass but allows the trebles to come through and you can have conversations without taking them out

Treble is what actually damages your ears more so than the Bass.
I could hear all except the last one, and I didn't have my speakers loud. But my left ear is better than my right :(

i got them at shoppers for 9.99 or something like that, i always bring em out but only put them in if i find that they are pumping the tunes or if im near a speaker for a long period of time (like at zone). as for treble causing more damage, i dunno about the exact health risks, but usually at clubs, theres more bass
