Actually, YES!! I was thinking that the thing/creature/human was evoking some image of something in my head, but I wasnt sure what seems so kinda familar about him... and I didnt think much of it after teh scene was over.
But I think that was it dude. |

Secondly, if it has its base in historical fact, then there's no ing way they should have a Scottish accent, period. I don't think it's that much to ask of the actors to cut out the Scottish accent. Would you not be a little surprised to see a movie about Spartans, only to find that all the actors were chinamen? I realize it's very loosely based on history, but if you're even going to mention the word Sparta, that pretty much cuts out the Asian actors and Scottish accents. |
It wasn't so clear otherwise I wouldn't have posted. As for the accent part I guess they went for how the character's look (the good vs evil) part and only part historical premise rather than pure fact. |

Actually, I saw the tyrailer for this a good 6 weeks ago and I thought.......hmmmm This flick is gonna be SIKKKKKKKKKKKKK!!!! (or words to that effect) followed by , I really should pull out a thread on it. Just in anticipation. I am waiting out the rush but this just has to be a killer movie. Sim City was my favorite movie since the Matrix. I unfortunately didn't see Sin City in the theater but my home theater is still pretty kick'n. I watched it, took a piss and immediately watched it again that night. Fantastic. 300 has tons of promise. |

| So i finally saw it tonight and I must say that it was nothing special. Sure it was visualy pleasing but non of the speeches did anything for me. The whole queen part of the moive was totaly useless and boring. I give it a 7 / 10. I always compare these type of movies to braveheart and so far nothing even comes CLOSE! |

So i finally saw the movie i had been waiting for, so fukking happy .Well i went to yorkdale and thought i would see the 9:45 show, reached there like around 9ish and went to the ticket machine straight, as i clicked for only two tickets for the 9:45 show the stupid machine tells me that the show has been sold out already which kinda made me sad coz i only had one more option left i did my lil prayers before i tried my second option and found out that ....
Luck was on my side there was another show being played at like 10:15 so i tried my luck with it and it worked i got my tickets and was kinda worried coz it said sumthing like " RW®C/DVS® " which is in normal english term REAR WINDOW® CAPTIONING / DESCRIPTIVE VIDEO SERVICE®.I asked a dude who looked like a manager that if it would have huge ass subtitles or sum like that , he said sir it wouldnt kill your movie its just extra loud so ppl can hear it more who have a hearing problem ( i was like damnn it is really my day )
Went infront of the theater around 9:15ish and the line for that show which was gona start at 10:15 was like 3 times the line up for CZ any sunday morning at its peak.
Finally the movie started ,i enjoyed every fukking second of it , the only part i was kind of was shaking my head at was when its the love scene of the king and queen it made me feel like the director wanted to test his softcore porn skills by showing how a queen should look like being banged by a king in different positions..... that was completely unnecessary.
The other thing was Persian King Xerxes, the dood made laugh every time they did a close up of him, besides that the movie is awesome.
Its a movie i can go watch couple times more with my friends who havent seen it. I give it 10/10 fo Shizzle ;) |

| Waste of many, I thought I could entertain my Sunday night. Beer I got when I got home was more exciting then movie. There is no story in this movie. 300 overly make up guys killing lots of people, making one insane guy a hero. This is not a hero movie at all. Fight scenes weren’t great, very unrealistic. Idiotic sex scene and lots of guy asses, no chicks at all, wft. |
