I don't see a difference between masturbating and smoking in public

Both are an addiction, both give you temporary release, and both are not harmful to non-participants if they are far enough away (3+ feet for the masturbator and 25+ feet for the smokamator).
So why is public masturbation illegal and public smoking (cigarettes) not? I don't have a right to move someone out of my way when they're oralling a cancer causing stick and in my damn way nearly everywhere I go in public. But if I whip it out and bust a nut, suddenly I'm a disgusting pervert and sent to jail even though stroking has never given anyone second-hand or titty cancer. What the hell? :crazy:
So if public smoking is legal, then masturbating in public should also be legal. :eek:
