You must be kidding me. It's in the blood of Brits to praise themself by ANY means. Event if London was the tiest place in earth they wouldn't stop saying: It’s cool, classy, cosmopolitan. Especially in the British magazines like Times Online.
London is just another European city. Paris, Rome, Madrid much better than London.
In my opinion New York keeps the stop of best city on earth.
btw.
Salaries and costs of living are much higher in London. Also it's flooded by people from Poland, it doesn't have such a sharm like it has a few years ago. |

| NYC was Rome for a while there, now London is the new Rome. Anyone arguing this hasn't spent a lot of time in the business world. And I don't see how an influx of Polish people has anything to do with anything. |

Anyone arguing this hasn't spent a lot of time actually living there.
Aside business point of view, London is a piece of crap comparing to Paris. Architecture there is very boring and people are completely ignorant, not friendly, greedy and so on. Food is crap, British clothes IS A ING JOKE. There are a lot of downsides in London.
Positive thing is that it has a lot of green parks. |

Clothes are joke? Why because we actually buy decent brands. If you give it attitude about the city and culture then no wonder people were ignorant towards you. |

London needs some years (see decades) before surpassing the sheer massivness of Tokyo and NYC who are truely the "center of the universe".
Each boast GDP of over one trillion dollar (1191 billion for Tokyo and 1133 for NYC).
London with its 452 billion isn't even near that select club and surpassed by LA(639B), Chicago(460B) and Paris(460B). |
