I wonder why he was banging his head on the ground.
Poor boy. RIP. |

Gimme a break. |
Coming up with a scenario like that after reading about an eight year old dying - i'll stick by my original statement. |

The banging the head would have been a seizure most likely caused by an aneurism. Just tragic, probably a congenital defect, a time bomb waiting to go off.
My thoughts go out to the family. RIP.
A girl in my grade 7 class died the same way, except we were doing track and field when it happened. :( |
That's most likely the case :(
Sad indeed, probably wasn't even aware of the problem at all...
RIP little guy |

Alright, I am totally going to hell for this... but I totally laughed.
I imagined a fat kid hating the excercise so much he stopped and decided to bash his head into the ground to get out of doing the work out.
Please forgive me.
:(
BTW, I don't think what really happened is funny... just my little scenario that I came up with seemed funny.
I wonder what happened... maybe a brain aneurism? |
Heh, I didn't laugh, but the thought, "Should have eaten less twinkies for breakfast, tubby!" did go through my head. I suppose I'm ed also.
An unfortunate death, but nothing excessively tragic. Some people die, even children. :/ |

Agreed.
While you cannot always control the thoughts that come into your head, leave them out of a discussion such as this when they're obviously inappropriate. |

Gotta agree here. I'm really surprised at your post Theresa, coming from the person that I remember complaining about the behaviour on TA. |

i really hope it was an aneurysm, at least it would be a simple understanding to the tragic situation.. but really I wonder what could of happen

gosh..
reminds me of my grade 6 or 7 class it was. during a gym period a couple of girls were leading warm up and one of them collapsed and went into a seizure. she apparently had a heart defect noone knew about. the girl was a gymnast so everyone was shocked. it was really scary...:( :( :(
RIP |

What bonehead would make kids sit around all day doing no physical activity? Running up and down stairs is an excellent way to improve both strength and endurance when done for an appropriate amount of time.
I certainly hope that this tragedy doesn't compell parents to lash out at the gym teacher. Nowadays I think that P.E. is probably one of the only ways many children get the exercise they so desperately need. |

there are plenty of fun, exciting way to get kids involved in physical activity. running up and down stairs is not one of them. |
