This is the most famous Castlevania to date.

If not, it can be found on the PlayStation and, as of recently, through the Microsoft LIVE Arcade (via XBOX 360) download service.

I'm really suprised how much the gameplay feels like Super Metroid - just an exceptionally smooth platformer.

lol, andy just started playing super metroid again and i was telling him it was just like C:SOTN except with guns instead of swords.

SOTN is by far my favorite PSX title, even moreso than FFVII, and it's a damn shame you've never played it until now. don't forget to get a crissaegrim and two rings of varda, after that the game is ridiculous.

"DIE MONSTER. YOU DON'T BELONG IN THIS WORLD."

I'm really ing confused by the fact that the credits are rolling and I wasn't allowed into the inverted castle - aslo, that Richter was a ing .

What the hell is going on here - I need more game!

Seriously though, do I have to get 100% to get the inverted castle?

And is there more story? I feel like I just got started, and it clearly says I've only complete 78.6% of the 200.6% total... So, can anyone clue me.... spoiler free.... ?

Don't wanna resort to any FAQ's for a while on this one... I wanna see how long it keeps me entertained!

Is there more story?!?

it slows down a little bit after the first castle but yeah, story continues

if you don't resort to faq's you'll end up missing a lot of cool items, secret areas, and all that though.. don't forget to kill enough schmoo's to get a crissaegrim and paranthropus' to get a couple rings of varda.

that's all from memory too. God i'm a loser. :nervous:

Perfectly emulated - and I'm ashamed to admit that today is the first time I've ever played this gem of a game.

God damn - unreal how I could miss out on this one for so long.

Me too! My excuse for not playing this is I was an owner of a sega saturn and this game slipped under the radar.

I was also a Saturn guy until FF7 came out

I missed SOTN mostly because I had forgotten how much fun Castlevania was, and then playing the awful N64 games pretty much sealed the deal for me deciding I had no incentive to ever play anything called "Castlevania" again.

I was so ing wrong it hurts. I just can't get enough of this ing game...

Inverted Castle is WAY harder than the regular one! God damn!
