Washington, D.C. – Through the vision of entrepreneurs Jon Han, Eric Clay, Adam Needham, Allah Tung, and Aldo Vuong, Washington, D.C., will soon be embarking upon a taste of nightlife that will exceed any other nightclub experience ever imagined in the nation's capital --- Ibiza.
Ibiza, with over $6 million dollars of interior renovations, is a lavish 30,000 square foot oasis, located at 1222 First Street, NE (formerly the Sodibar Systems Warehouse). The stunning interior includes two mezzanine VIP terraces, waterfalls, a state of the art $1million dollar sound system (the only one of it's kind in the U.S.), seven bars, gourmet buffet, a 50,000 LED light wall on the dance floor, stainless steel and glass décor, and high definition cameras that will broadcast events live from Ibiza on the internet. Ibiza will open to the public in May 2007, five days a week, featuring a 6PM Happy Hour, and closing at 3AM.
Ibiza, home to some of the hottest promoters in the city, will also feature world-class DJs and celebrity hosts using Ibiza as their venue, not merely for revelry, but for endless, lavish, state of the art entertainment.
this place is litereally 13ft away from FUR nightclub.

| from wat ive gathered from ppl ive spoken to who are involved with this, they are saying really high caliber DJ's so that could mean anything. we will just have to see. |

| sounds awesome. Too bad I dont live there. How about a club like that in nyc....I am starting to dislike PACHA and crobar isnt getting the dj's anymore. |

its real easy to post that a place is going to be hot :rolleyes: If the crowd is anything like glow, i wouldn't go anywhere near there if the hottest brazilian girls were giving lap dances for free. actually, i probably would go, but not stay.
closing at 3am is way to early for a "world class DJ." |

I would normally agree with you, but I'm def willing to give this new place a try... hopefully this will spread the crowds out some - i.e. the people who are at a club just to be at a club, not because they're really into the music, will stay over at Glow...

Wow it looks like Fur will be getting some competition!
Do you expect Fur to start attracting less and less clubgoers? Also, even though it's called Ibiza, will there be any hip-hop nights? or strictly prog/house? |

DC doesn't have a big enough scene to keep both Ibiza and Fur open - i betcha one of them closes within a year
and who needs another megaclub? the life of the megaclub is on life support right now - surprising that someone would want to try and open one at this time |
