As for the music, the last hour really did it for me, everything before then was pretty typical and not all that special.. The energy level of the crowd was greater in Summer 1999 when I last saw them.
The last 20 minutes were perfect, the harder beats started coming on. :D

i totally agree with you on that!... Me personally, i thought Jimmy Van was very boring, sorry but house music doesn't do it for me at all... way to slow, and hardly any energy. As for S&D's set... first track was great... then went a little slow for a bit, but had some really nice tracks here and there... one track i can remember was "Waters of Jericho" by Head Honcho. Overall, i don't think it was worth the money, $40 would've been good... Line-ups were way too long, i was lucky on that cause i found Jazz, Heatscore and Mikman closer to the front of the line, and then we budded in the coat check line once we got in too, but still have to feel sorry for everyone else... maybe they should have opened the doors at 9:30 or something.
Anyways besides that it was cool seeing the usual TA's... Swamper, TrancExtasy, Arcticboy, heh... Jazz, heatscore & Mikman. I'm looking forward to seeing everyone at Armin!!!

I knew from the beginning that I would enjoy the night as much as AvB, Tiesto, Corsten or other Uplifting Trance DJs. Im not really into progressive, so I knew the music wouldnt move me like it normally does. That being said, aside from the Progressive music, and the lineups and the overcrowding, the party was awesome. The lights that S&D took with them were outstanding, the lasers were a real treat, and the sound was loud, and crisp. But, the lineups and the overcrowding kind of ruined the feel for me, and I didnt have as good a time as I could.

As for Sasha and Digweeds set, I dont know who is who between the two of them, so I never knew who was spinning at any given time. But, I did enjoy the set (although it was progressive). The set seemed to get better towards the end. I have to say the night peaked when the threw Age of Love, by Jam and Spoon on the decks. I absolutely love that track, ever since it came out 10 years ago (Its hard to beleive that it has been 10 years). That song made the night better for me.

After that, the lineup to the coat check left me with an overall feeling of disappointment. They should have had another act after S&D, cause then you would have 2-3000 ppl lining up for their jackets all at once.

Either way, Im still glad I went. Spent most of the evening partying with other TAs, Cloud9, Bliss'N'Trance, TrancExtasy, Arctic Boy, Fir3start3r, Trancearmada, and many others. You guys made the night worth it.

Cant wait till AvB next week.

Personally, I don't think last night was worth the money I paid. The music was really good but to me, it just felt like something was missing (perhaps a few more hours of spinning). Honestly, I didn't know what to expect. The only S&D I've ever heard is their Northern Exposure album. The sound was amazing and the visual effects totally suited the music. I found that the music was dark and sometimes kind of mellow but then it would get really hard and then it would slow down again. It was cool. I wish I wore my running shoes so I could have danced. As for the decor, I thought Kool Haus looked better at Tiesto. As for the people, wow, I can't believe how many weirdos were there. I was pretty much sober for the whole night - my e didn't kick it until 4 am - and wathcing people while you're sober is pretty fun and interesting. Never thought I'd ever see gay bikers.

Overall, I give the night 7 out of a possible 10. At least I got to see them live and I got to see some awesome TA's like Jazz (and his girl), Heatscore, Mikman, and Arcticboy!!! I can't wait for AVB!!! You know what, the best part of the night for me when I snagged 2 AVB posters from the bar. See everyone next week!!!;)

i've gotta go with liquid on this one...
the party was alright, but seriously, nothing special... like the light show was cool, so was the phazon, and the atmosphere kicked ass, but for the first 3 hours of s&d's set, i was kind of bored, then they really pick it up in the last hour, and the party's done right at 4... like wtf... they got everyone hyped up and sent them home? ummm, don't make sense... i dont think it was worth the 50 though...
Vivid Boy
i dunno i guess u got to be in the right mood and be with the right ppl cause i had a kick ass time....only disappointing thing was that it ended so early

K i could talk on and on about the party but i'm still not sure if i loved it or just liked it a bit. I wanted to post cause something pretty funny happend to me. I haven't been posting for that long so i don't really know u guys that well but i always keep it in mind that there are T.A's at alot of the parties i go to. Last night(i can't remember what time), a girl came up to me and asked me if i was a T.A. Took me bout 4 minutes to figure out what she was saying cause i wasn't completely focused but when i did figure it out i thought it cool to actually meet a T.A. On a bad note i'm not sure if i caught who it was. If one of you girls met a guy or talked to one with a white visor, white sleevless shirt and grey pants lemme know who u are.

so i come to kool haus at 11 30 and the en line-up is so huge :conf: i thought if the tickets will be $50 or more, it wud keep those dweebs out of Kool Haus..but ya S&D are really famous now, and this shows now :) waited 20mins in the huge line-up, it was fairly quick..but the coat check! omfg! wat a line up for the coat check..i mean you go in for such a huge event, and the whole organization of the club was soooooo pooor. so in general, i waited 45mins for the coat check and missed about 30mins of digweeds first set :o by now i was a bit pissed..the crowd was pure ! wats the point of en screaming, etc. if you dont know the right moments  this was like a celebrity show or something..famous dj's playing, and "famous people" walking around...way to much people, again bunch of low-life dweeebs standing and screaming for no reason..i never seen such a ty crowd in my life, and were talking about S&D here  i thought that the crowd at Scott Bond was , but at least at his set they were quit and didn't scream for no reason :p enough of the description of the crowd, can go for hours.
on the sets now :) digweeds sets were just pure electrifing, deep, dark, progressive :) everytime he took over, i cud just feel him inside of me, just simply ining-credible! :) sasha's sets were sick, but i really loved his last set solo, amazing! hehe met buch of you TA's..Nrg2Nfinit, halo20, StereoPrincess, Swamper, dieToccaine, UWO_Tranceaddict(i seen you, now since i read about the black hat :), just wasn't too sure it was you), trancearmanda(once again bro, partying together :)), Fir3start3r(nice seeing you again man, thnx for the ride back home :))...hmm, i think thats all of us, maybe i missed someone :p

hehe yeah, that was me :clown: sunglasses, black dress-shirt & jeans

I don't remember which one you are.. I asked a lot of people that :D Where were you? On the dancefloor up front or in that corner on the couches?
Heatscore
I really can't believe that so many of you didn't like it last night! I guess if you're not into progressive (at all) then you probably wouldn't like it but the crowd was alright albeit everyone decided to cram the dancefloor to get closer to the front which made it pretty impractical for moving around. No ginos and no sketchbags - what more could you ask for???

S&D probably won't be back for a while so at least consider it an 'experience'. I feel sorry for anyone who bought their ticket from a scalper...they still had tickets for $50 at the door.

2 thumbs up. :D

I walked RIGHT in at 12:30 .. not a soul in the line. :) Why on earth would anyone check there coat. I stashed mine by the front right speaker behind the barriers.

The lights I didn't think were all that great for what they made it sound like (yes they were good but out of this world .. no). I actually preferred the decor/setup when Deep Dish was here. The sound was phenomenal with the Phazon. I liked both Diggers and Sasha, but Digger's made me move more. I like it hard with a break here and there. Was well worth my $50, the ending at 4:00:00AM was ty. I didn't expect that (yes they said 4, but you'd think they could go a couple encore's or something). Now, the 2 hour line to get out was for coat check. My lineup however did not exist as I picked up my coat and walked out the back door in 5 minutes. ;) As I walked around to the front to pickup some mystery meat. Who do i run into with a video camera? Digger's himself! Shook his hand, then went home.

I didn't know they would not be frisking people. I would have brought my camera. I figured for sure you wouldn't be able to bring a camera and I'm pissed about it! I want pictures!!!

Gotta say I love going out and hearing music I've never heard before.

Why is it I never run into any TA's? .. Everyone else seems too

Tell me about it... I spent the night on a couple of Smirnoffs, and that's it. You happen to see things a bit differently when you're not mashed and your mind is straight.

Hehehe, I haven't seen a soul in the line either... didn't have my ID checked, barely got frisked (speaking of our security in that place), and I thought to myself too "Why in the world did I leave the damn camera at home?"

And I haven't seen a single TA... not that I was looking for you guys, since I had enough people around me at any time and was pulling off mad missions in those 4 hours that I've been there, but even if I was looking for you guys, I don't think I could've found many of you (I know brunette didn't find many, and she spent all nite looking for you guys).

All in all, this was the first time that I walked out of the Kool Haus and it was still dark outside... that's a bad sign (read: party sux).
