I liked the movie, but i never understood why it became so popular in America and the rest of Europe. I wouldn't enjoy it that much if i didn't know greek history.

Those who hate this movie probably thought lost in translation was the bomb..that eternal sunshine of a spotless mind was a masterpiece..

Its not like i dont like intelligent, thought provoking movies. i cant stand movies that are SLOW!. I'm sorry i have an attention span of a 6 year old kid.

But either u show me some boobies/flying dragons/explosions/limbs being cut every 20 mins... I'd probably get bored and just walk out of the movie.

the movie 300 didnt need a plot for all i care. it had great fight scenes that was comparable to the scenes in gladiator. movies like that dont come too often and i appreaciate it for what it is.It kept me paying attention until the end.

lol why, it might ruin history for you?
that has nothing to do with the story. It wasnt written that way, it was dudes who are raised from birth to fight. Then they hear of an overwhelming force. Only 300 dudes who believed in the old way of you just fight. You dont think about it, you dont whine about it, you go to fight and win.

Does it make it sound like it was only 300? Cos it was more like 30,000 (or something) just that there were only 300 Spartans in the group lol.

That said they were against a silly amount of Persians.
