| Check out his MySpace. Three new tracks on there for you to listen to. Two from his forthcoming 'Quicksand Memory EP' and one from his new album 'Goodbye'. Not too sure about 'Medusa' but 'Look At The Sky' and 'Shine' are first class. Really looking forward to these releases. |

The shoegazer influences are even more prevalent in this track "Look At The Sky", it reminds me of Slowdive's music....
Medusa kind of reminds me of Boards of Canada mixed with M83 and some Slowdive. He's definitely gone pretty much shoegazer, which is the style of music that he was big into before he got into the more melodic electronic stuff. Lots of feedback, ethereal and unitelligable vocals...the whole wall of sound effect.

'Shine' seems to have been taken off for some reason - it was there yesterday. |

| The entire Goodbye album has been leaked so I'll be listening to it either tonight or tomorrow. I'll come back with my review. Supposedly it's more postrock/rock-ish than his other albums, which I am wary about since postrock can get samey as all hell sounding. I am just interested in how Ulrich postrock can sound. |

I think it will probably be something like M83 and Boards of Canada mixed with Lycia or Slowdive. Maybe shoegazer (a type of alternative rock music in the 80s and early 90s that used lots of distortion to create a wall of sound with poetic, sometimes unitelligable vocals, still around today but not quite as prolific, Coceteau Twins, Lycia and Slowdive were popular shoegazer bands), mixed with experimental electronic music (something like Boards of Canada or M83's less rock like stuff) and some more melodic downtempo like he usually does. That's what I am predicting. |
