If you haven't, I suggest you check out 'Time Of Your Life' sample on Chicane's website. It's absolutely divine in my opinion (very FFTMC and BTS), and I for one, am going to play this at full volume!

I've had that Time of your Life clip on repeat for about an hour now, what a pad sound!.
As for the album, looks like he's spreading his wings even further, which means they'll be less for those with more purist tastes and more for those that like a bit of everything. |

come tomorrow has grown on me a hell of a lot, i find myself enjoying it even more with every listen. the commercial edge is there, but it's leagues above the kitschy sugary efforts of 'stoned in love' & bears feint similarities to some of bracegirdle's older works (anyone else clock the sample from 'early' in there? :D)
the 'time of your life' sample does indeed sound fantastic & very FFTMC-esque. can't wait to hear it in full!
'always', on the other hand, is pretty weak. reminds me of the cheap hollow pish that plagued Easy to Assemble.. although hopefully it'll sound better in the context of the album |

i actually thought it was even worse. whilst stoned in love was incredibly cheesy, it worked well for what it was trying to be.. catchy singalong pop dance. LotR (heh, where have i heard that abbreviation before) on the other hand just sounded utterly weak & watered-down on all accounts. it sounded like a poor man's imitation of 'dont give up', with half-arsed vocals & a backing track knocked up in about 10 minutes. was a real low point of his, for me :( |

Come Tomorrow is just garbage. Of the mixes, I guess Cicada mix is best, but its nothing special. Cmon Chicane, I hope this single is just to make some money so you can live off of and market the album and the other songs are oldschool chicane style classics.

Hadn't noticed Nick added 'The Time of Your Life' to his mp3 player on his official website. I think it is totally awesome. Lush sounds. Can't stop playing it also.

| Sonically, it doesnt do it for me. I dont think the electronic production values were high for this song. And the voice just doesnt work for me either. Even worse, at some points I think the vocals dont work with the song. Thats especially clear in SoulSeekers mix. Ofcourse this is my opinion, and everyone is welcome to their own. Im still very much anticipating the new album, Chicane must have at least a handful of new tracks that Ill love on it. |
